Pierre-André de Chalendar, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Saint-Gobain, Gabriele Galateri di Genola, Chairman of Assicurazioni Generali, and Xavier Huillard, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of VINCI, laid the foundation stone for the new Saint-Gobain tower on April 19.
The new tower will be emblematic of Saint-Gobain and showcase its expertise, housing the Group's new headquarters in the heart of the historic Paris La Défense business district. The project is led and financed by its owner, insurance company Generali, which contracted VINCI to build the tower.
“At Saint-Gobain, we have made a promise to our customers. A demanding promise to provide them with wellbeing wherever our materials are used, for example, in their homes, offices and cars. Performance, and thermal, acoustic and visual comfort, and air quality: we make day-to-day life more pleasant and help protect the environment. Reflecting this promise, we want to provide our 2,500 employees in the Greater Paris region with the possibility of working together in a tower incorporating our best solutions,” explained Pierre-André de Chalendar.
